Seattle

The Emerald City

The mountains are out
days of gray dissolved
in Pacific Northwest sunshine

The Olympics over Elliot Bay
Rainier, close enough to touch
towers above the Cascades

The air is infused with fresh
water from the bay, evergreens, salmon, coffee
rustic, cosmopolitan

The day has begun
cloudless, brilliant, majestic
in Pacific Northwest climes

love this! A tranquil picture you give us with your words. If I close my eyes I can picture the gray dissolving

    • Yeah, those Seattle days when the mountains FINALLY pop out after multiple days of gray are incredibly life-affirming. 😉

  2. Fabulous picture and your words define Seattle perfectly on one of those rare perfect days.

  3. Wow! That photo is amazing with words to match.
I wish this was everyday in Seattle – I’d move there in a heart beat.

UNCANNY! OUT OF THIS WORLD! Like a scene from a PlayStation game.

    • You’ll love it, trust me.

Great to see you here, Kate! Hope you’re recovering well and rocking the cueball look. *grin*

      • There are so many places I want to see, but Seattle is right up there and your photo has only pushed it higher. I’m doing great, thank you so much for asking. Headache free and isn’t that heaven!

      • Truly a stunning photo, innit? So glad I saw it. Hope you can make Jet City ASAP. Drop a line if you ever want trip advice.
